    Stranahan House

    This historic home, built in the Florida vernacular style, was once owned by one of Fort Lauderdale's founding families. Over the years it has served many purposes including a trading post, a post office, a town hall and a bank. Today it still stands in its 1913 condition with many of its original items. Guided tours are available.

    Sugar Mill Ruins
    Originally built in the 1820s during the uprising of the Native Americans, this 17 acre historic site was once a highly functional sugar mill. Only ruins remain as the building was destroyed during the war between the Seminole Indians and the United States of America. Self-guided as well as guided tours are available.
